The Anti-Defamation League has blasted Sandra Bullock's love rat husband Jesse James after a 2004 picture of his showed him wearing a German soldier’’s hat, with one hand miming Adolf Hitler’’s mustache and the other giving a “Heil, Hitler” salute.
Although on Thursday, James” attorney Joe Yanny told CNN that his client was only joking around in the photo, the Anti-Defamation League was not too pleased, reports The New York Daily News.
Abraham Foxman, the National Director of the civil rights group, told UsMagazine.com that the 2004 photo is “offensive” and “in bad taste.”
“It’’s stupid behavior. It’’s insensitive behavior,” he said of James, before clarifying, “But, it doesn”t make him an anti-Semite.”
Foxman explained, “This is not directed against the Jewish people. To the best of my knowledge, James does not have Swastikas on his body.”
