Lindsay Lohan Ankle Bracelet: After dissing her hearing last Monday for her 2007 DUI, Lindsay Lohan has been given an ankle bracelet that uses Breathalyzer technology.
LL's judge was angered after she chose to go to the Cannes Film Festival in France instead of coming to her hearing, though the celebrity said that her passport had been stolen and she could not have possibly gotten back in time.? The Beverly Hills judge has given Lohan an ankle bracelet to wear that will gauge if the celeb has been drinking.
The bracelet tests the skin every half hour. If there's alcohol, it causes a chemical reaction in the device's fuel cell. Usually once a day, the information is sent over phone lines to the company, which alerts the courts or probation officer if alcohol is detected at a blood-alcohol level of 0.02 or higher.
The technology is currently available only for the courts, thankfully, cause if parents got a hold of this, there would be no more drunken Zima parties.
