Conan O¡¯Brien Is Aiming at the Emmys?

The “The Tonight Show" featuring Conan O’Brien at the lead which is telecasted from Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. is speeding fast enough so as to get his show enlisted in the Emmy race. O’Brien had signed the agreement with the TBS weeks ago and is going too fast to get into the competition world.

He may have forgotten how he lacked in tempting the viewers for the 11:35 time slot and also in the last year nominations he received a single Emmy Award nomination for his “Late Night With Conan O’Brien" show.

The show was nominated in 2003 under the category of the variety comedy music series and that after his dedication of hosting for a decade.

His rival “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart,” got the maximum number of ratings and won consecutively for five years. Even in the recent years 2008 and 2009, the show could not make it to the awards and lost to the “The Daily Show” and also lost the slots to the back in action “Saturday Night Live”.

The “Late Night With Conan O’Brien" won an Emmy in 2007 and that too out of 29 nominations. Now with “The Tonight Show" one would have to wait to figure out if O’Brien can make it to the Emmy Award once again.
