Inception Storyline

Inception StorylineInception Storyline, Finally, a smart movie that delivers from beginning until end! Smart, intriguing, unique thinker movies have been in massive drought over the past several years. I believe Inception? has ended that drought.

My fear going into the movie was that it would get my hopes up through its previews and perhaps its first hour, only to let me down with a flat or dull ending. (i.e. KNOW1NG and The Happening, to name a couple) Not only did Inception deliver but it may have cracked its way into my Top 10 all time. I absolutely loved this movie! I haven’t been this excited after a movie since I saw The Dark Knight, also directed by Christopher Nolan.

In fact, looking back at Nolan’s previous 3 movies, The Dark Knight, The Prestige, and Batman Begins, I’m realizing that I’m a huge fan of his work. I loved all of those movies! If those movies got your juices flowin’, then Inception will as well!

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as a man who uses technology to enter the human mind and extract things from their dreams. The plot follows a plan to do the opposite of extraction, implanting something into the human mind, called inception. The storyline is so creative, unique, and at times complex. It has a very Matrixy feel to it. However, movie buffs have needed a plot like this. There have been so many stinkers, bad endings, and unoriginal storylines over the past 5 years. Its refreshing to see a movie that takes a “leap of faith” and rocks an intensely complex and creative story with great special effects and action.

The Matrix is the most obvious comparison to Inception. However, I think it can definitely stand alone in its creativity. Its a movie that you’ll need to watch closely, and pinch yourself in to make sure that you’re not dreaming! That’s how good it is!

The rating of PG-13 is fitting. There was not a large amount of profanity, but the movie did incorporate some violence. I would take kids 12 and older to see this.

Mark it down. Make a date. And go see Inception. You’ll walk out astonished and thinking that at any moment, you may be waking up from a deep dream
