Gen. Stanley McChrystal top commander in Afghanistan ended his 34-year career as an Army officer.
In a poignant ceremony that paid tribute to McChrystal three decades of military service. He said that in his career he had learned that people don’t want to follow overly cautious leaders. He trusted his people and would continue to trust them, he said. He said his service “did not end as I would have desired."
It is pertinent to mention that President Obama fired McChrystal last month after his controversial comments on Obama administration.
