Easter Parade New York 2010, Easter Egg Archive


The festivities begin at 10am on Fifth Ave at 49th Street, near the  Rockefeller Center and St Patrick’s Church (a beautiful 19th-century  Gothic building) and ends around 55th St.


Street parking is free on Sunday. Beginning around 1000 in the  morning, the streets throng with colour and excitement as participants  parade with their elaborate bonnets that range from incredible floral  displays to those harbouring live animals.


This parade doesn’t have any floats or marching bands but it is a  spectacle nonetheless. From around the world people come to New York  City to participate. Outfits range from elegant to outrageous.


There are special Easter services at St  Patrick’s Cathedral on 50th Street and 5th Avenue, at St Thomas Church  on 53rd Street and 5th Avenue and at the 5th Avenue Presbyterian Church.


A lot of people joined the Easter Parade New York 2010 that took place  this Sunday April 4, 2010. Everthing started out at  Fifth Avenue from  49th to 57th Streets to see the wonderful displays of Easter bonnets and  costumes.


Celebrate springtime in New York! Join in the Easter  Parade on 5th Avenue, or just watch the thousands strolling in  their finery! Kids can take part in the Egg Rolling Contest on the Great Lawn in Central Park. New York  Easter Parade is a fun time for the whole family!
