Former Nepalese Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala passed away in Khatmandu announced the state TV. The great leader was an inspiration for many and his supporters along with his country, supported him in every cause. Served as Prime Minister for four terms, a member of Nepali Congress Party,
He had heart problems, hypertension and asthma and had been hospitalized several times in the past few months.
Merely three decades ago he was discharged from the hospital where he was undergoing treatment for quite sometimes.
Hunderds of people gathered at his daughter's place to pay their last respects, the reports said.
A four-time prime minister, Koirala also had his share of allegations of involvement in financial misdoings.
