Bangladesh’s batting woes have been well documented but their main fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza said the attack must also lift if the team is to avoid another drubbing on Wednesday. They lost the opening ODI against Australia by 180 runs after falling for their lowest one-day international score but Mortaza knows the bowlers need to help out by restricting Australia more.
However, the saving grace for Bangladesh is that the Twenty20 format offers the best chance of an upset, and a good day in the office can just see them pull the rug from under Australia's feet. Australia are, however, more than aware of the fact, having suffered their Zimbabwe defeat, and will not want to repeat the same mistakes.
Bangladesh team, relatively new and young, has all the potential to surprise the Aussies. The batting line up is deep, although not as deep as Australians, and they can put up a big score. Ashraful and Shakib Al Hasan will definitely tease the Australian bowlers.
The bowling is big worry for Bangladesh captain as?the?two lead bowler proved very costly in last match against Pakistan.
Australia Twenty20 Cricket Team : MJ Clarke*, DT Christian, BJ Haddin, RJ Harris, NM Hauritz, DJ Hussey, MEK Hussey, MG Johnson, DP Nannes, TD Paine, SPD Smith, SW Tait, DA Warner, SR Watson, CL White
Bangladesh T20 Cricket Team : Shakib Al Hasan*, Mushfiqur Rahim, Abdur Razzak, Aftab Ahmed, Imrul Kayes, Jahurul Islam, Mahmudullah, Mashrafe Mortaza, Mohammad Ashraful, Naeem Islam, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Syed Rasel, Tamim Iqbal
It can't be an amazing job in choosing the Bangladesh XI. There are numerous players able of challenging game-playing, till so few positive outcomes. The batting-side appears stronger than the bowling-side at the instant, so Syed Rasel may come into computations for the ICC T20 World Cup 2010.
