The Last Airbender is a poorly constructed film with no sense of plot, character or emotion – and aside from the visuals, there are little to no redeeming qualities in this wasted opportunity of a fantastic property, which was ripe for a film adaptation.
While it is impossible not to feel rushed in the storytelling of an epic tale whittled down for the big screen, M. Night Shyamalan seems to vie for the eye candy of battles and bending at the expense of developing the crucial relationships between the characters.
