Not only did Michigan (Rima Fakih) possess the most grace, elegance and beauty throughout the competition but she was also the most genuine. Her answers didn't seem rehearsed and her smile didn't seem forced, much like the other finalists.
Rima Fakih of Dearborn, Mich., won the pageant Sunday night after swimsuit, evening gown and interview competitions at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. During the competition, Fakih nearly fell while finishing her walk in a long, strapless gown because of the length of its train, but she recovered without a spill and went on to win.
The runner-up, should Rima not be able to fulfill her duties, is Miss Oklahoma Morgan Woolard. Although she was beautiful, Miss Oklahoma clearly didn't deserve to take home tonight's crown. Her smiles seemed forced, she was too uptight and she looked a lot like last year's winner Kristen Dalton.
Not only did Fakih recovery from a small slip during the evening gown competition, but she also gave props to her mother and to her director during her interview. She was the only contestant to do this.
Rima Fakih of Dearborn, Mich., won the pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip after swimsuit, evening gown and interview competitions.
When asked how she felt about winning the crown, she said, “Ask me after I’ve had a pizza.”
