The actor Jake Gyllenhaal is now working hard in order to impersonate the fearless hero. As a matter of fact, the actor is playing the role of Prince Dastan in the film, known as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. To become a real hero, Jake Gyllenhaal is mastering the acrobatic art of parkour and also sword fighting.

But there is one thing that the actor is unable to conquer, i.e. his fear of ostriches.

When he was preparing for the film he was warned not to make any noise around the ostriches. It was explained by the fact that they are able to rip out the heart of the actor as well as tear out his eyes. For that reason Jake Gyllenhaal, 29, was terrified. The actor said that they look like they are innocent but that is not true.

Gemma Arterton is a costar of Gyllenhaal and is able to attest the level of fear of the actor. It was said by Gemma Arterton that Gyllenhaal looked really scared. When he first saw them, he ran away and said that he was not going to act.

Arterton, 24, plays the role of Princess Tamina. It looks like that she is more experienced with animals. During two weeks she rehearsed in order to do a horse-riding stunt. In the film she has to jump onto a horse when it was galloping towards her. It was a bit scary for the actress, but managed to do that, which made her proud of herself.
