You may have heard of Charlotte Lewis, she is a British actress who has starred in films such as Roman Polanski's 1986 film Pirates, and The Golden Child with Eddie Murphy. She is also the woman coming forward with sexual assault accusations against French film director, Roman Polanski.
The allegations date back to 1982. 26 years later, she finally has the courage, and the lawyer juice, to come forward with the sexual abuse claims. She says that when she was working on the Pirates movie, when Polanski sexually abused her in the "worst way possible."
Charlotte, who was only 16 at the time, says Roman forced himself on her while they were in his apartment. Though the legal age of consent in France is 15, Charlotte's lawyer, Gloria Allred, says that,
"Accountability for a crime against a child has no time limit."
Roman Polanski, is currently under house for the sexual assault of 13-year-old Samantha Geimer in 1977, and Lewis and Allred hope that the new allegations can influence Polanski's sentencing. She explained it happened in Paris, when he "forced himself upon me. He took advantage of me and I have lived with the effects of his behavior ever since it occurred. All I want is justice."
