Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor welcomed American R&B singer-songwriter Akon in traditional style at the press conference of SRK's sci-fi film, RA.1 in Mumbai.
International R&B singer Akon sang his popular number Smack That at a party hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, as it was the Bollywood superstar's favourite song. Akon might lend his voice for a song in Shah Rukh's upcoming sci-fi film RA.1.
"My kids love him, I love him. I want you all to give him the biggest welcome into the country that anyone has ever had,"
said Shah Rukh who danced with his favourite singer on the stage.
"I am a big fan of Shah Rukh. I am very familiar with Shah Rukh’s work. I am meeting Kareena (Kapoor) for the first time today," Akon told a news agency at an event hosted by SRK to welcome him in Mumbai on Tuesday.
The singer was reportedly in town to record a song for Shah Rukh’s upcoming superhero flick, Ra 1. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the movie has the Bollywood superstar playing a software engineer in Miami who’s inadvertently drawn into combat with a self-created virtual monster, Ra 1.
If reports are to be believed the film also has Akon as part of the cast.
