2010 MET Ball Beauty ¨C Blake Lively, Emma, Claire Danes, Zoe Saldana Costume Institute Gala

Turning up for a night on the red carpet, Emma Watson was on hand for  the MET Ball held in New York City on Monday (May 3).

Held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art , the “Harry Potter” hottie  looked fabulous in a white Burberry frock as she posed for pictures upon  arrival.

In related news, Eva recently spoke out about the new Arizona  immigration law, telling, “What is happening? I feel like I am in a time  warp.”

The Met Ball is to fashion what the Oscars is to Hollywood. Put mildly,  it’s a big night for fashion’s elite. While style takes center stage, on  this site, we care about the faces flaunting the dresses.

The Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrates the opening of the  “American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity” exhibition. The event  is hosted by Patrick Robinson of The Gap, co-hosted by Vogue editor Anna  Wintour and talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.  [Just  Jared]

Claire Danes is pretty much flawless all the time,  but in this Burberry confection, she looks downright stunning (though I  would have ditched the necklace). I also love that her hair is down and  loose, as she always looks so buttoned-up. Gucci Westman did  her makeup, which is also super-sassy and much darker than her usual  fare. "We wanted it to be really cool ― like that London cool, since she  was wearing Burberry," said Westman.

Zoe Saldana toasted Americana (the theme of the evening  and event) with this navy one-shouldered Calvin Klein sheath. It photographs a little demure, but the cool texture (which we  can almost discern in the photo) means it's probably breath-taking in  real life.
