Kenya's Cheruiyot finished the course the fastest with a time of 2:05:52. Tekeste Kebede from Ethiopia finished in second place with a time of 2:07:23, and last year’s winner Deriba Merga also from Ethiopia grabbed third with a time of 2:08:39.
Both runners registered an astounding record time as they finished the world's oldest marathon race. Cheruiyot got to the finish line at a record time of 2:05:52 while Erkesso finished it at 2:26:11.
Runner Ryan Hall ended up as the fastest US runner finishing fourth overall in 2 hours, 8 minutes and 41 seconds. Ethiopia's Teyba Erkesso won with finishing in 2 hours, 26 minutes and 11 seconds.
