American actor Dennis Hopper has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Looking frail and sporting bandages, Hopper, 73, who is suffering from prostate cancer, had to be helped by a friend to the stage, reports the Daily Express.
He explained that his bandages were the result of a fall outside his home.
Surrounded by his family, the actor/filmmaker thanked Hollywood for being "my home and my schooling".
Jack Nicholson, Viggo Mortensen, David Lynch and Dwight Yoakam were among the luminaries on hand to honour their friend and colleague.
Hopper's star is in front of the Egyptian Theatre.
