sandra bullock 230x300 A Triumphal Night for Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges Sandra Bullock had a punchline in her successful as well as long-standing career. The actress got a circuit for the awards. Her first Oscar was for her role in the film known as The Blind Side.


There was a stiff competition in the category of the best actress, among the pretenders for being the best actresses such actresses as Helen Mirren, Carey Mulligan, Meryl Streep and Gabourey Sidibwere were nominated. But the Oscar was awarded to Sandra Bullock. In her speech the actress paid tribute to her fellow nominees. Being chosen as the best actress, Sandra explained it like this: “worn everybody down.”


The beautiful brunette in gold Marchesa gown won the Oscar for her role in the American football drama. She played a role of Leigh Anne Tuohy, who helps a homeless boy in order to become a professional player.


That night was triumphal for Jeff Bridges who got his first Academy award for his role in Crazy Heart. In his speech he thanked his wife Susan Geston as well as his parents Lloyd and Dorothy.


One should not forget about Kathryn Bigelow who became the first who got the Oscar in the category of best director.
