American Idol May 19: latest news about updates, American Idol May 19, Tonight's elimination results on American Idol Season 9 brings us to the finale next week. I didn't get a chance to watch all of the performances last night, but was blown away by Lee DeWyze's cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." I was pleasantly surprised by Crystal Bowersox's cover of "Maybe I'm Amazed" too.
Special guest performances included: Travis Garland and Justin Bieber
