Earth Day Activities Word Search, Coloring Pages For Kids

Earth Day coloring pages make great mouse practice activities                   for toddlers, preschool, and elementary children. They  can                   also be used with beginning readers. If children are  unable                   to read the sentence that goes with the coloring page,  have                   them click on each word to hear the sentence. This  activity                   reinforces reading skills. Most Earth Day coloring  pages                   come with a selection of sentences.

Founder of the day Gaylord Nelson said that "the objective was to get  a nationwide demonstration of concern for the environment so large that  it would shake the political arena. It was a gamble, but it worked. An  estimated 20 million people participated in peaceful demonstrations all  across the country."

The World Earth Day 2010 has given the  environmentalist groups an opportunity to send their message across to  the mass. The 'Avatar' DVD release will only strengthen the cause.

On the the 40th anniversary of Earth Day [April 22], this warming  planet we live on is posing serious new challenges to human  civilization: increasingly severe droughts, floods, and storms across  the globe, and slowly rising ocean levels.

Florida is holding an event named Going Green in which solar powered  products are being featured. Connecticut is embracing a fun filled  family camping event. KSA is looking forward to its workshop that  aspires to guard the coastal resources of the Red Sea and the Arabian  Sea and many musical events are held in Louisiana and Colorado to  celebrate and to honor the World Earth's Day 2010.
