Badu will get a $500 fine and six months of probation for her guerrilla video shoot. The video was shot near the location of JFK's assassination. In April the 39 year old singer was issued a disorderly citation. But now a Dallas City spokesman confirms to entertainment news that Badu will not see jail time, just probation and a fine. Children and young tourists were reported close to Badu during the guerrilla shoot.
Badu has said the video has been "grossly misinterpreted by many." She told Wanda Sykes, "J.F.K. is one of my heroes, one of the nation's heroes … Kennedy was a revolutionary; he was not afraid to butt heads with America, and I was not afraid to show America my butt-naked truth."
