Rihanna Passed Away

Rihanna Passed AwayRihanna Passed Away: Losing a courageous young friend whom she’d grown quite close to, Rihanna is among the many mourning the loss of Jasmina Anema.

The 6-year-old Manhattan youth succumbed after a courageous fight against leukemia, with her mother Thea sadly announcing: “Today, January 27, at 10:55 p.m., Jasmina lost her fight against leukemia.”

Commenting on the news from the White House, fellow Jasmina supporter President Barack Obama said, “It is with great sadness today that Michelle and I extend our condolences on the passing of Jasmina Anema. Jasmina showed tremendous bravery in the face of adversity, and her ability to stay positive throughout her battle was an inspiration to me and to all those she touched. As the parents of two young girls, our hearts particularly go out to Jasmina’s devoted mother Thea. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and with all who knew and loved Jasmina.”

Devastated by the tragic news, Rihanna also recently told Ryan Seacrest that she won’t be performing at the Grammy Awards, saying, "Oh no, I'm not performing."

Telling that her situation with Chris Brown caused havoc last year, the Barbadian singer reveals, "We messed up the show pretty bad last year, so they're probably a little mad at me right now."
