South Pacific Lincoln CenterLatest News Update About South Pacific Lincoln Center: The PBS series “Live from Lincoln Center” will air the Tony Award-winning musical “South Pacific” tonight, and if you pay attention, you can spot a Raleigh native in the cast.


Julie Foldesi is a singer/songwriter who plays the role of Swing in the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic. Foldesi, a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill with a BA in opera performance, just released an album called “this Part of Town,” which her website describes as “funky or bluesy bluegrass.” She also occasionally plays a maid on “As the World Turns” on CBS.


“South Pacific” will air tonight on UNC-TV at 8pm
