LAHORE: The death toll in two blasts at R A Bazaar in Lahore cantonment area on Friday has reached to 13, while 40 others were injured.
SSP Operations Lahore Chaudhry Shafeeque told media that both blasts that were happened with 15 second interval were suicide attacks.
A massive bomb blast shook the Pakistani city of Lahore Friday, Xinhua news agency reported. The explosion took place near a bus stand.
Rescue teams have been sent, though it is difficult for them to get to the area due to rush in the area. All the routes leading to the blast scene have been blocked and rescue teams as well as other relevant officials are stuck in the traffic.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani have condemned the bomb attack in Lahore.
Police and security agencies personnel have cordoned off the area.
According to state television two blasts occurred in the area, while the eyewitnesses said that a blast was happened in a car.
