A woman who had been voted Teacher of the Year at a Gwinnett County high school has resigned amid allegations she had a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student. 29-year-old English teacher and cheerleading coach left her job after being accused of seducing a student who came to her for help with homework.
An investigative file shows the student, who is a graduating senior, claims Hall gave him gifts and pressured him to get her pregnant.
"As a self-proclaimed nerd, I love learning!," reads her website. "I hope to pass on the same passion for learning to my students."
When he declined, the student's family says Hall gave him a failing grade, prompting him to report the relationship to officials.
Gwinnett County officials are investigating.
