According to the Sun, David Fincher is set to give the Swedish thriller a Hollywood makeover – and now he's looking to cast his leading lady.
And rumours are abuzz that Stewart and Carey Mulligan will go head-to-head for the role, which is said to be 'edgy, sexy and demanding,' reports the Daily Telegraph.
Fincher has previously directed 'The Game', 'Fight Club' and 'Zodiac'.
He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Director for his 2008 film 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'.�
