Katy Perry, Russell Brand to marry in Japan?

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are considering getting married in Japan, sources say.

Earlier, pop star Rihanna had revealed that the couple were planning to get hitched in India later this year.

However, the pair is keeping their options open.

“Russ and Katy are marrying at the end of the year, almost a year to the day he proposed,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.

The insider added: “They originally planned to wed in India, in an intimate ceremony before close friends and family within the grounds of the Taj Rambagh Palace hotel, where Russell popped the question.

“They have a holding reservation but nothing is set in stone. The pair of them want to keep people guessing and on their toes – even their celeb pals.

“Whilst in LA, Russell told a couple of people that they were also considering Tokyo as a venue.

“It is a really buzzy, vibrant city and somewhere completely different and unique. Katy kept jokingly hitting Russell, telling him to keep his big mouth shut.

“But Katy really likes the idea of wearing some kind of Geisha-inspired bridal dress so it is a real possibility.”

Earlier in the ceremonies top Canadian pop stars Nelly Furtado and Bryan Adams performed a duet on a song titled "Bang the Drum" written by Adams. Sarah McLachlan joined the parade of stars with a solo performance at the piano. In another powerful tribute to Canadian pop music, Joni Mitchell's classic "Both Sides Now" provided the backdrop for a moving aerial and dance performance. Finally, Anne Murray, one of the bestselling Canadian pop singers of all time, was one of the notable Canadian personalities chosen to carry the official Olympic flag into the stadium.

Shellsuit voted worst fashion trend of 1980s

London, May 10 (IANS) The brightly-coloured, shiny tracksuit, popularly known as Shellsuit, has been voted as the worst fashion trend of the 80s.

More than three quarters of the British women surveyed picked out shellsuit as the ultimate faux pas.       

It was followed by spandex leggings, with 39 percent of votes, and the perm hairstyle with 36 percent.

The new research, commissioned by Galaxy Counters, also showed that more than a third of women do not want to see the return of Day Glo make-up and stirrup trousers, reports telegraph.co.uk.       

The list of fashion disasters also included Jelly shoes, crimped hair, fingerless lace gloves and “hair metal” such as banana clips.       

However, when it comes to best trend of the 1980s, stone wash denim topped the list with 32 percent votes followed by Wayfarer-style plastic sunglasses with 27 percent votes and leg warmers with 17 percent votes.       

Ra Ra skirts were endorsed by 14 percent of women and ‘dancewear as fashion’ was voted best by 11 percent.

NFL Schedule Thanksgiving 2010, Chicago Bears 2010 Schedule

Three games will air as the family gathers to feast on the bird,  kicking off in the early afternoon and running until late that night.

In the early game, the Detroit Lions will host the New England  Patriots in the annual Turkey Day tradition at Ford Field.  The Patriots will kick off the regular season at home for the third straight year when they host the Cincinnati Bengals, the defending AFC North Division Champions, on Sunday, Sept. 12. The Patriots will get their first taste of AFC East action Week 2 when they travel to play the Jets to make their regular-season debut in the new Meadowlands stadium on Sunday, Sept. 19 at 4:15 p.m.

The NFL announced today its 17-week, 256-game regular-season schedule  for 2010, which kicks off on Thursday night, September 9 in New Orleans  and concludes on Sunday, January 2, with 16 division games.
