Punjab State Baisakhi Bumper Result of March 2010


Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries came into  existence in the 1968 as a wing of the Finance Department with a view to  curbing illegal activities like satta, matka etc and to organize  lotteries, at regular intervals, so as to mobilize resources for the  State Exchequer.


Draws of the weekly  lotteries, as also the monthy    lottery, are conducted in a transparent  manner in the draw hall at    Ludhiana.? Any member of the public is  free to visit the draw hall    and view the draw process.? The  Directorate appoints judges from among the respectables members of  the public, to be present for each    draw, besides deploying its own  staff in order to ensure fair play.

Punjab State Lotteries was come into existence in the year 1968. It is  as a part of the Finance Department for cutting illegal actions like  satta, matka etc. lotteries at regular period is organized by  Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries.


The workforce strength of Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries is  nearly fifty and the lotteries are run by Government of Punjab as per  the terms of the Lotteries (Regulations) Act 1998. The department has  outlined its rules in accordance with the Under Section 12 of the Act  and it is called as the Punjab State Lotteries Rules 1998.
