Early 2010, stars like Santigold, Emile Hirsch, Lupe Fiasco, and Jessica Biel to name a few became part of an adventure as they go on a climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro mountain.
This was done in order to create awareness regarding the dire need for clean water around the globe. But it was not just them who supported this campaign. Justin Timberlake also said that he has a big support for the cause.
For the opening of the documentary which would last for about 90 minutes, the singer will be introducing the show called Summit on the Summit: Kilimanjaro with his own words.
This will air on March 14 on MTV, 9 in the evening ET/PT. This effort was spearheaded by Kenna, a musician that gathered tons of nominations at the Grammy awards. The team composed of mainly celebrities spent six days before they reached the peak of Africa's tallest mountain which is said to be a 50-mile trek.
Aside from creating awareness, the show is also hoping to raise funds so that they can give it to various programs such as the Water for People's PlayPumps Technology, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the Children's Safe Drinking Water Program from P&G.
