Oklahoma Tornado 2010 News Weather Latest Updates


The tornado destroyed homes, cars and trucks causing one fatality of a man with a vehicle flipped over his body. It uprooted trees and shuts the electricity down in Oklahoma and Cleveland.


TULSA, OK � Kansas City Royals' top prospect Mike Montgomery pitched six strong innings and the Naturals were able to get out to a comfortable lead, and with the help of some miscues by the Drillers' defense they held on for a 7-3 victory Monday evening at ONEOK Field.


The Oklahoma citizens were largely equipped for the havoc as it had been predicted by the Met Department. As a security measure, certain Interstate traffic lines were closed. In the city, three storms were developed to the west affecting 1.2 million people. The northern storm caused property damage near Edmond, while two storms to the south created loss of lives. According to Jerry Lojka, spokesman for Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management, of the five people killed, two were reported killed in Oklahoma county, while three were killed in Cleveland County. In one case, a young boy was hit by debris of his home. In another a man in a vehicle was crushed, when the vehicle was flipped over by a tornado on top of him.
