Kangana Ranaut Turns to Comedy

MUMBAI, Kangana Ranaut Turns to Comedy: Shedding her intense on-screen image, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is trying her hands at comedy and this time wants to tickle the funny bone of her fans.
The actress is excited about the change and will have two-comedy films releasing this year, Anees Bazmee’s No Problem and Anand Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu.
“It’s really fun doing comedy films, everything around you is amusing. But it is not easy to make people laugh. The true test of comedy is when you don’t have funny dialogues, just looking at you should make people laugh,” Kangana told PTI here.
The actress who had won a National Award for playing a drug addicted supermodel in ‘Fashion’ is known for psychotic roles in films like Gangster, Woh Lamhe and Life in a Metro.
“Doing comedy was a new experience for me. The world of comedy makes you crazy. There are situations when you yourself can’t control your laughter but you have to and concentrate on making others laugh, which is not easy,” Kangana said.
Tanu weds Manu is a romantic comedy film directed by Anand Rai and produced by Mukesh Talreja. It stars Madhavan and Jimmy Shergill in the lead roles.
Her other film is, No Problem, a comedy directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Anil Kapoor. It stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Sushmita Sen, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Neetu Chandra.
Kangana, who is sharing screen space with Paresh Rawal in No Problem said, “He is one of the finest comedian the industry has. His timing, the spontaneity is really awesome.
In every film his way of making people laugh is different. People start laughing even before he says anything.”
