Oscar-award winner Bill Condon directs final version of Twilight

The producers of Twilight  have appointed the Oscar-award winner Bill Condon to direct its last version.


The director has been chosen from a long list of aspirants names and Sofia Coppola and Gus Van Sant has been chosen by Summit Entertainment  for shooting the fourth and last version, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in the vampire franchise which is based on Stephenie Meyer's novel.


Condon said, “I’m very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book and we’re hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience."


Erik Feig, the president of the film studio said that Condon is the right choice for the movie as he has done great work in writing and directing Dreamgirls, Kinsey and Gods and Monsters with great sensitivity and sensibility.


Fig said, “Bringing Stephenie Meyer’s Breaking Dawn to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity."


The third version of Eclipse which is directed by David Slade is all set to release in US on June 30.
