Yusuf Pathan’s Century Not Enough To Make Rajasthan Royals Win.
Yusuf Pathan played an innings that deserved him to be on the winning side but it was death bowling at its best by Zaheer Khan and Lasith Malinga who held there nerve and took Mumbai to victory by 4 runs.
MUMBAI – Yusuf Pathan scored a hurricane 37-ball century but could not save Rajasthan Royals from suffering a heart-wrenching four-run defeat against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Brabourne Stadium here Saturday.
The highest run chase in the history of first class cricket although the total, 541 for seven. It is not the highest fourth-innings total. West Zone have scored more runs in their 4th innings in the past but they never resulted in a victory.
Mumbai Indians won the match by 4 runs with help of good bowling by Malinga and Zaheer in the depth overs.
